Katherine completed her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at Deakin University in 2017 and is currently undertaking her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. Katherine will be admitted as a practising lawyer in August 2018.
Katherine joined CFIL in September 2016 as a paralegal and has assisted in a number of matters including applications for Protection visas, Partner visas, Visa cancellations and matters before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Federal Court and High Court.
Katherine has a strong interest in access to justice and has previously volunteered in Victorian prisons assisting inmates to proactively handle their legal cases. She has an interest in all areas of migration, with a particular interest in protection and humanitarian visas, having studied both Human Rights Law and Refugee Protection at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) in 2015.
