Umesh completed his Juris Doctor at RMIT university in March 2020. Previous to this, he has completed qualifications in education and business administration from India. Umesh was admitted as a practising lawyer in November 2020.
Umesh joined Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers as a Lawyer in March 2023. Umesh has assisted in a range of matters which consist of humanitarian, citizenship, partner, student and skilled visa applications, as well as visa cancellations and refusals. Further, he has assisted in preparing matters before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal / Federal Circuit Court as well as requests for Ministerial Intervention.
Prior to joining CFIL, Umesh has extensively worked in immigration law in different migration law firms. Umesh’s interest in migration law has grown from his personal journey. Being a migrant himself, Umesh has personally experienced the difficulties in understanding the complex migration process. Umesh is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
